Prayer Requests

BridgeView member, Clara Jeffrey, is out of surgery and doing well. She is in room 3707 at the Norman Regional Hospital Health Plex off of Tecumseh Road if anyone wishes to visit her. Please continue to send your prayers her way while she recovers from her knee replacement.

Ken McGehee is at home on Hospice and is currently using different pain management medication. His primary caregiver, Terri McGehee is exhausted and could use some support as well.

Niki Carey passed away last August and her husband Chris' two children are finishing their residency at Vanderbilt, but recently lost their home and everything in it due to flooding in Nashville, Tennessee. Please pray for them during this difficult time.

Jim Russell has fallen a few times lately and is seeing doctors trying to determine the cause.

Nora Marie McDanel was born this afternoon weighing 8 lbs 6 oz and 19 inches tall. Everyone is doing well. If you would like to help with a meal for the family, please contact Emilee Lynch at 321-3822.

 

DiAnna Gavras is scheduled for out-patient surgery in the morning to repair a torn muscle in her bicep. Please keep her, John, and their family in your prayers.

Natalie DeRousse's (plays keyboard at BridgeView) 9 week old grandson Jeremiah Joseph Winchell who we prayed for last week in worship, has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Though not life-threatening at this time, please remember Jeremiah and his parents Becky and Jason (Natalie’s daughter and son-in-law) in your prayers as additional tests are done and they face difficult decisions. Know your prayers are greatly appreciated.

 

Ann Estes had to be taken via ambulance this afternoon to the hospital with severe lower pain. She passed out and hit her head. She is undergoing tests and getting ready for a cat scan. Please pray for her.

Please add to the prayer chain one of Angela Do's students at OCU.  She fell from a high height in a theatre and landed on her back.  She's in the hospital right now getting evaluated.

On Sunday, I asked for prayers for a colleague of mine and I would ask that you continue those prayers today. Crystal Hooper is employed as a child and adolescent therapist for me. About three weeks ago she began having back pain which quickly developed into pleural effusion and bacterial pneumonia. She has been in Norman Regional for 11 days undergoing numerous tests to try to determine the origin of the disease so that it might be treated and so far there is no answer. Her right lung has repeatedly filled with fluid that is not draining and so today Dr. Rick McCurdy will be performing surgery on Crystal to remove the fluid from her lung. Crystal is our young, healthy, germ-watching co-worker that right now is very ill. Please keep her in your prayers

today as she undergoes surgery.   Also, pray for the children that she

sees that are missing her. Thanks very much!   Teresa

 

 

Please pray for my friend Jessica Williams.  Her daughter, Emma is 18 months old and has Leukemia.  She has been admitted to Children's due to air in her intestinal wall.  She is on IV antibiotics and will not be allowed to eat or drink anything by mouth for 7 days. 

 

Obviously, a very difficult time for Jessica and her husband, Jonathan.

PRAISE THE LORD!  We received wonderful news today at her follow-up visit -  Andrea’s Melanoma spot was caught early and all was removed – no further treatment necessary now!   Stitches were removed and she will see a dermatologist regularly.

My mom's lifelong friend, Carol Wolf has been diagnosed with lung cancer.  She has elected to postpone chemotherapy at this time as there is only a 35% chance of survival and she wants to see spring. 

 

Please pray for her and her family.

 

Her husband, Lloyd Rayl passed away last night. 

Services will be held Friday, January 15^th at 2pm in Tulsa, at the Nynes Funeral Home on 50^th and Memorial.

Dear Bridgeview Family,

 

Jill Floyd has asked that we place her young cousin, Brock, on the prayer list. He was diagnosed with leukemia at the beginning of October and is not doing well. He spent his first birthday in the hospital.

 

He'll be having surgery tomorrow morning, but really he (and his

parents) need continued prayers. Her cousins are keeping a journal, which can be found here:

Please pray for Charlotte Smith.  She is the sister of a good friend of mine and she has been diagnosed with cancer.  She has had some complications due to the treatment and has been admitted to the ICU at Presbyterian.  A very tough situation for her and her family.
